Real-time head tracking for under $1000!

The world's smallest and most affordable head tracker, 3DTracker utilizes inertial sensor technologies to accurately track the motion of the head in real-time. Unlike optical and magnetic trackers that require the installation of specific infrastructure in the environment to operate, 3DTracker requires literally no added references.

3DTracker operates by measuring actual rotation rates and earth references of gravity and magnetic field. As such, it can be used in a wide variety of locations both indoor and outdoor, and is able to track full 360deg rotations.

Considered a "low-cost" head tracker, 3DTracker is not to be confused with other low-cost inertial approaches that make use of accelerometers and magnetometers alone. Such devices typically have visible lag between the actual head movement and the tracking. 3DTracker has near-zero latency as a result of its internal algorithms that make use of gyroscopes with the ability to track rotation rates up to 1,200 deg/sec in real-time.
